Shanay serves on the community advisory board of St. Barnabas Community Resource Center, and volunteers with several community based organizations. Professionally, Shanay is healthcare risk manager for the largest standalone behavioral health facility in the Philadelphia area. As quoted in a WHYY article Shanay understands that “If organizations here in Philadelphia shift our focus to safety, providing access to the most marginalized and centering those experiences, we can approach equality and equity with integrity”.
