The FLUID Youth Project

For Learning Understanding In Development

Galaei presents: The F.L.U.I.D. Youth Project

FLUID youth is a youth/young adult directed, youth and young adult-centered advisory committee for Galaei’s SPLAT Program. FLUID Youth Project uplifts queer and trans, black, latine, and poc advocacy, expression, art, and representation as a way to navigate challenges that face our LGBTQIA+ communities.

FLUID is an acronym that creates, facilitates, and collaborates on groups “For Learning Understanding In Development.”

Our goal is simple—we wish to help our community become more resilient while navigating health disparities, caused by systemic conditions by guiding a youth-centered space to intimately grieve, heal, create, and grow.

  • Mindfulness Mondays

A young adult peer support space that was created to hold a space to exercise serenity. In each session young adults learn with each other how to take time to in order to take extra care of themselves.

The Mindfulness Monday peer support space also inspires connection to oneself, and those who have experienced the workshop with them.

Join us for a day of self-care activities, discussion, and more.

  • Wednesday Wellness

Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health outcomes, so that instead of just surviving, you’re thriving!

FLUID’s Wednesday Wellness day is a peer support space that is created for young adults to develop, set, meet and your wellness goals. Each group will address topics such as smoking and vape cessation, advocacy to end the HIV epidemic, exercise, and meal prep, so that we can be our healthiest selves!
